Explore Capri

The island of Capri is one of the most precious gems of the Tyrrhenian Sea and the Gulf of Naples but is above one of the most famous tourist destinations. In this place nature has truly lavished all its beauties, painting the most extraordinary landscapes with wonderful colours. The island, easily reachable by boat consists of a series of rocky limestone, rising to the peak of Monte Solaro. The coast is jagged and precipitous: the cliffs, and dramatic offshore rock outcrops like the famous Faraglioni, often rise sheer out of blue water of the bay, this is a paradise in miniature, it is full of enchanting spots and an inexhaustible source of fascination. Capri is also the name of the main town on the island, which also comprises the smaller town of Anacapri and other villages. A visit to Capri must take account of the various sights: the famous Piazzetta, the Blue Grotto (Grotta Azzurra), the Faraglioni rocks, Anacapri, the Certosa di San Giacomo, Villa Jovis, the Augustus Gardens (iGiardini di Augusto), Villa San Michele and the Tiberius Jump (il Salto di Tiberio). Along the coast of the island are many more caves which, although less well-known than the Blue Grotto, are hardly its inferior in beauty and variety: White Grotto, Green Grotto, Coral Grotto and Heart Grotto. Only by circling the whole island by boat are you enabled to discover these and many more hidden beauties.
